We gave this to my 8 yr old son for Christmas, and he really liked it. Its awfully dangerous, so we don't let him shoot it by himself, so he is has been unable to use it much, but in the spring we expect to be outside with him alot!

My grandsons, both age 6 yrs. love these bows. They are easy to shoot, durable and provide hours of enjoyment for them and because they must be supervised while they use the bows, it gives me quality time with them.

Awesome bow
Awesome bow, some of the other review are little off center, not the products fault if someone returned a faulty item. Also If your son or daughter is ten, it is time to step up to a different bow. My son is 6 and he is glowing with excitement. Bow works good has great power is easily adjustable for different strengths. Is a smaller version of daddy's bear bow and he is shooting great. I am loading a video of him shooting before we put on the site and the quiver. Just got all the add ons set up and it looks really cool. Would buy again and great starter bow for kids!

Great fun
I ordered this for my six year old. Based on the other reviews I expected a well made toy and it is everything the reviewers said it is. It's built sturdy and works great.
I didn't buy any nerf arrows as others have suggested. My son likes the darts that came with this crossbow. They work well and seem to be a fair quality. They don't fly far and wide but he just wants something that hits the target. I don't expect the darts to last very long so we will replace them at some point in the near future possibly with nerf darts.

A crossbow is a most thrilling toy and tool for boys! Target practice develops great aim plus good hand-eye coordination too. This crossbow is sturdy and made to last for years. Front and rear sights increase accuracy. Shoots soft, suction-cup-tipped safety darts. Color target and safety darts (3) are included. Safe for indoor play too.

This toy has staying power!
We purchased one of these for our oldest son when he was 3...4 years later it is still the favorite toy for not only my sons but also any friends that come along. It was a little stiff at first and hard for his little hands to pull back but now he can do it with ease. This is our second purchase of this product and now I am wondering if I should have bought a third!

It could be dangerous if a child uses it to shoot other objects such as marbles BUT with a little supervision it brings hours of entertainment.
